📦 How to Install Gecian Hub (PWA)

Gecian Hub works as a Progressive Web App (PWA), meaning you can install it like a real app on your phone, tablet, or computer—without downloading from an app store.

📱 1. Android (Chrome / Edge / Brave / Samsung Internet)

Method A: From Browser

1. Open the website in your browser.
2. Wait for it to fully load.
3. You will see a popup: “Add to Home screen”.
4. Tap Add to Home screen.
5. Tap Install.

Method B: Manually

1. Tap the three dots menu (⋮).
2. Select Install App or Add to Home screen.
3. Confirm Install.

📱 2. iPhone & iPad (Safari Only)

⚠️ PWAs on iOS must be installed using Safari.

1. Open Safari.
2. Visit the website.
3. Tap the Share icon (square with ↑ arrow).
4. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
5. Tap Add.

💻 3. Windows Desktop (Chrome / Edge / Brave)

1. Open the website.
2. Look at the address bar for an Install App icon.
3. Click Install.

Alternate Method

1. Open menu (⋮).
2. Click Install App.
3. Confirm Install.

The app will appear in Start Menu, Desktop, or Taskbar (if pinned).

⚠️ Safari does not support installing PWAs.

3. Click Install.

The app will appear in your Applications folder and can be pinned to your Dock.

1. Open the website.
2. Click the Install App icon in the address bar.
3. Click Install.

It will appear in your applications list and launcher.

🖥️ 6. Desktop Shortcut Method (Manual)

1. Open browser menu (⋮).
2. Go to More Tools → Create Shortcut.
3. Enable Open as Window.
4. Click Create.

This behaves like a fully installed app.

🔄 Updating the PWA

PWAs update automatically when you open the app or refresh the page. If a new version is available, it will load instantly.

🗑️ Uninstalling the PWA

Android / iOS

Long-press the app icon → Remove App / Uninstall

Windows / macOS / Linux

Right-click the app icon → Uninstall
or go to browser → Manage Apps → Uninstall
